OBITUARY

Mr. James D. Kiernan, solicitor, died on 18th March

1968

at

his

residence, Newtownrnountkennedy, Co.

Wicklow.

Mr. Kiernan served his apprenticeship with the late

Mr. James W. Lane, 11 St. Stephen's Green. Dublin,

was admitted in Michaelmas sittings 1945 and practised

as partner in the firm of Messrs Orphen and Co., 30

Burlington Road, Dublin.

Mr. Edward W. Proud died 18th April 1968 at a

Dublin hospital.

Mr. Proud served his apprenticeship with the late Mr.

Archibald Tuthill, 26 Eustace Street, Dublin, and prac

tised as partner in the firm of Messrs Proud and Walsh

up to his retirement in 196?. —————————————————

Mr. James A. Power died 26th April 1968 at his

residence, 3 Bridges House, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tip

perary.

Mr. Power served his apprenticeship with Mr. Henry

J. Kenny, 4 Gladstone Street, Waterford, was admitted

in Trinity sittings 1925 and practised under the style of

Messrs J. J. O'Shee and Co., Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tip

perary.

Mr. George Lynch, solicitor, died on the 2nd April

1968 at his residence, Tully Lodge, Kylemore, Carrick-

on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

Mr. Lynch served his apprenticeship with the late Mr.

Timothy J. Hunt, Ennis, Co. Clare, was admitted in

Hilary sittings 1915 and practised as senior partner in

the

firm of Messrs G. Lynch and Son, Carrick-on-

Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

Mr. Michael Phelan, solicitor, died on 1st June 1968

at his residence, Mayfield, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

Mr. Phelan served his apprenticeship with Mr. Francis

Murphy. Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, was admitted in Hilary

sittings 1946 and practised under the style of Messrs P.

J. O'Flaherty and Son, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

Mr. Trevor G. B. McVeagh, solicitor, died on 5tli

June 1968.

Mr. McVeagh served his apprenticeship with the late

Mr. John G. Oulton, 21 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dub

lin, was admitted in Hilary sittings 1931 and practised

as senior partner in the firm of Messrs T. G. McVeagh

& Co., 32-33 Kildare Street, Dublin.

Mr. Nicholas J. O'Donnell died on 6th June 1968 at

his residence, Gleneden, Tipperary.

Mr. O'Donnell served his apprenticeship with the late

Mr. Nicholas F. Maher, Tipperary, was admitted in

Michaelmas sittings 1930 and practised under the style

of Messrs N. F. Maher and Co., Nelson St., Tipperary.

Mr. Hector J. G. Ryan, died on 19th June 1968

following an accident in Italy.

Mr. Ryan served his apprenticeship with the late Mr.

W. T. Sheridan, 24 Eustace Street, Dublin, was admitted

in Hilary sittings 1934 and practised as partner in the

firm of Messrs Whitney, Moore and Keller, 46 Kildare

Street, Dublin.
