for pipes by airfreight
Tube Developments’ stock of 10,000
tonnes of seamless carbon steel pipe
allows the company to deliver to the
customer without delay.
It delivers by all traditional methods
of transportation. However, the use of
airfreight is increasing, and is becoming
the transport of choice for time-critical
deliveries.
When the customer is unable to wait for
a mill delivery, or an unplanned shut-
down occurs, Tube Developments can
have the pipes prepared, crated
for airfreight and dispatched
within 48 hours. Recent loca-
tions include Lagos, Bangkok
and Singapore.
The company states that

In order to remain a major supplier
of carbon steel pipes and tubulars,
the company continues to invest
in new technology and personnel

Tube Developments has supplied a
number of projects over the last 12
months, including supplying carbon
steel process pipes for the Alrar Inlet
Project to the appointed contractors.
Alrar is an oil and gas field operated by
Sonatrach in Algeria.
The project involved an extension to the
plant, which was necessary in order to
maintain production and extend the life
of the field.
