CONCLUSION
Based on these results
APBI using
multicatheter brachytherapy (4-5 days)
or
EBRT (3 weeks)
A) can be considered as a valid alternative treatment option after breast conserving
surgery.
B) can be offered for all low risk breast cancer patients in clinical routine.
C) careful revision of current ASTRO and ESTRO selection criteria for APBI should be
discussed.
