with electron IORT the treatment time is very short but no individual planning

in electronic BT with X-ray the dose at the surface of applicator/balloon is 3-4 times
higher than in the prescription point at 1 cm from the surface

due to greater dosimetric flexibility of multilumen applicators the dose to skin and
rib/chest wall can be reduced compared to single lumen balloon applicator

among all brachytherapy techniques multicatheter interstitial BT is the most flexible
and protects best the normal tissues and OAR-s

geometrical optimization followed by graphical optimization can provide clinically
acceptable dose distribution
