We report on experiments of dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) of donor and
29Si nuclear spins in natural silicon. We demonstrate very high polarization
of 29Si nuclei which are strongly coupled to donor electrons. By utilizing the
methods of DNP it is possible to select spin ensembles based on the strength of
29Si superhyperfine interaction with the donor electron. The ensembles can be
further manipulated with NMR. The samples were studied in strong magnetic
field of 4.6 T and temperatures below 1 K, in which conditions the donor electron
spins are fully polarized.
