HOSE SIZES

A/C hose size is determined by the inside diameter of the hose. Hose sizes are also known by the

“6, 8, 10, and 12” number designations. The chart below shows hose inside diameters (I.D.) and their cor-

responding size numbers:

FITTING SIZES

Fitting sizes are identified generally as “6, 8, 10, and 12”. These numbers come from 6/16 of an inch,

8/16”, 10/16” and 12/16”, which generally identify the tube diameter at the point that it passes through the

attached threaded nut.

NOTE

: Metric threaded connections are not included in this sizing method.
