As the editor, I take joy in reporting the proud moments of our residents and not mine,
however, I must make an exception. I am very proud of my granddaughter, Melisa Diamond,
who just became a third generation graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. She
surpassed us all as she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors with a Bachelor of Arts and
Sciences degree in Physics and Math, while at the same time receiving her Masters Degree in
Physics and Astronomy. She will continue her education at Johns Hopkins University for her
PHD. More importantly, she is an all around person who bakes, does ballroom dancing,
periodically writes a blog and is an organizer.
