Craft brewing is not new. Locally or
regionally produced beers with a limited
distribution have had a following for
quite a while. But over the last decade
craft brews have experienced a meteoric
increase in popularity. According to the
Brewers Association, the number of craft
breweries in the U.S. has more than
tripled over the last 10 years. This
explosion of growth has manifested itself
in many forms and formats—from small,
artisanal beer-tasting rooms to fully
functioning large-scale industrial brewing
facilities.
