At Euro Car Parts we have a market leading product range on Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) sensors. We can

offer sensors from all of the major manufacturers including OE brands such as Bosch and also replacement

brands such as FAE, MTE and Haas. We can also offer sensors that were previously only available from the

vehicle manufacturer dealer.

The Secondary Air System adds oxygen to the exhaust system gases to

assist in the final “burn off” of the emissions. Fresh air is pumped into

the exhaust by either an electrical/mechanical pump

or a one-way valve.

The Secondary air system is commonly used during the warm up cycle

to help burn the rich air-to-fuel mixture needed to run a cold engine. After

two to three minutes of running the catalytic convertor is close to operational

temperature. After this period the secondary air system shuts down.

The Lambda Sensor is a key component of a vehicle’s engine management system and also prevents

damage to the catalytic converter. The Lambda Sensor is located in the exhaust system and measures the

amount of unburned oxygen in your engine’s exhaust. Based on the amount of oxygen, it sends a signal to

your engine computer which then adjusts the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission

control.
