Earth, as the bugs obliterate major
cities with carefully aimed meteors.
SOLUTION:
Send in the troops to “nuke ‘em” and
“kill ‘em all!” Or if that fails, capture and torture the
commanding Brain Bug.

Assorted oversized marine life including a giant mutant octopus.

Well, Atlantis is actually a breakaway hunk of Martian rock that fell
to Earth, complete with the original inhabitants.

Get the hell out of there!
