Vol 29 No 3

The May Issue

Welcome to the latest Tube & Pipe

Technology magazine.

In this issue we have features on Tube

Russia 2016 and the Guangzhou Fair

as well as an extended technical article

from SMS Meer looking at machinery

and plants used for the production of oilfield tubulars,

and all the latest industry and technology news.

The entire team has just returned from Tube Düsseldorf

and we had a fantastic show with lots of positive

feedback about the magazine.

Despite some of the global economic issues that

are clearly having an impact on the tube industry,

the overall atmosphere was extremely upbeat. Many

companies were looking at innovation, investment and

diversification as the answers to their problems, which

was inspiring to hear although the future of the steel

industry in the UK and the worldwide oil price is still an

issue that refuses to go away.

Next issue we will have features on Tube China 2016,

tube mills and rollforming lines, advances in coating,

pickling and galvanising, and advances in measuring

and marking. The editorial deadline is 19 May and the

advertising deadline is 2 June. You can contact me at

rory@intras.co.uk

if you need any other information.

I hope that you enjoy the magazine.
