INGENIUM ENGINES STOP/STARTTECHNOLOGY*
XF offers a choice of refined, efficient diesel* or petrol engines – all delivering a dynamic driving
experience and responsive Jaguar performance. XF's engines are equipped with Stop/Start
technology* and smart regenerative charging – harvesting kinetic energy from braking to charge
the battery – for maximum economy, especially during urban driving.

XF is offered with two diesel engines. An engine from the new Ingenium range is
available: the 2.0 litre i4 turbocharged diesel (180PS). Ingenium engines from this
advanced all-aluminium range are typically 20kg lighter than the equivalent engines
from the previous generation – making them more efficient from the outset. They
offer effortless performance, immediate high torque delivery and refinement with
lower fuel consumption and CO
2
emissions. Also available is the acclaimed 3.0 litre
V6 diesel engine. For XF's performance requirements, power has been increased to
300PS with class-leading torque of 700Nm for greater responsiveness, while fuel
economy has been improved by up to nine percent.
