James (;leason suggests a nonesuch known as a "Help Wanted
Cocktail" comprising equal parts bourbon whisky and apricot
brandy, shaken up with a few drops of lemon juice added and adds
that in bed is a good place to try it
if
one has more than three.
Judy Canova,
if
pressed, will tell you that she likes:
Pink Goody:
1 oz. gin
1 oz. golden bacardi
1 oz. lime juice
Dash of maraschino or grenadine
,
Serve with crushed ice in a tall highball
glass with a generous splash of soda and a
stick of pineapple for garnish. After the
first drink, she submits, the fruit decoratio·n
may be eliminated as unessential.
Andrea King, who confesses that, to date, she has only dared use
the formula in half portions and then on an isolated atoll in the
South Pacific, recommends:
Devil's Tail:
87:
Night
3 oz. 151 proof Rum
3 oz. vodka
1 oz. Jime juice
2 oz. grenadine
To obtain the best results, says Miss King,
these should be frapped in a Waring mixer
and served with a ff.oat of apricot brandy
on
top.
