• This highly complex technology fitted only
highly selected indications, i.e. tumors :
– With no internal motion
(= Skull, brain)
– that could be simulated with a fixed horizontal
beam
(seated position = Brain, cervical chord)
– that could be targetted with metallic fiducials
– That avoided major tissue heterogeneities
(not HN)
