Waste Management. It was established in 1995.

The main task is the final disposal of spent nuclear

fuel generated by the owners, Teollisuuden Voima

Oyj and Fortum Power & Heat Oy at the Loviisa and

Olkiluoto nuclear power plants. The goal is to start the

final disposal of spent nuclear fuel in the 2020s. The

investigations, the development of the final disposal

technology, the detailed design of the final disposal

facility and the construction of the underground

Helsinki by a modern highway.

Saturday, 27 June at 7:00-20:30

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj

is a nuclear power

company founded in 1969 for safe and reliable

electricity production for its shareholders, Finnish

benefits the Finnish society but also reduces the

environmental impact of energy production. The guided

tour in Olkiluoto includes introduction to the company,

a tour of the “Electricity from Uranium” exhibition, a

visit to the repository for low and intermediate level

operating waste and a tour to the ONKALO Research

Gallery.
