ELMECC-WTS Wire Technology Systems,
a manufacturer of machinery for
wire and cable, has launched the
WTS-CP18X400 line of electronic
planetary stranders.
Combining flexibility and
user-friendliness with advanced
technological solutions, the
state-of-the-art stranding machine
is designed to meet versatility and
space-saving needs by ensuring high
standards in product quality.
Suitable for joining a maximum of 1+18
insulated and non-insulated wires,
flexible and rigid, the line consists of
three synchronised 1x6 detorsional
cages with 1+6, 1+12, 1+6+12 and
1+18 operating modes, one pay-off 800
with automatic stretching control, one
800kg capstan, and one 800 wap to wap
self-aligning take-up.
Multi-motor technique with
synchronisation of profibus encoder
allows the line to reach a maximum
speed of 60m/min with a stranding
pitch of 25 to 300mm. Provided with
different types of sensors (stretching
sensors for each wire, pintles safety
laser sensor, and wire breaking optical
sensors), the line is controlled via
two 15" touch panels for complete
parameter setup and setting of the
operating mode.
The launch of the new electronic
planetary stranding lines will be
supported by an extensive marketing
plan to raise customer awareness of the
technology.
