PERSPECTIVES ON
THE MEETING
The Society has provided me
with innumerable opportuni-
ties to meet interesting people,
encourage and, I hope, assist
young people in their careers,
and learn lots of science. It has
also enabled me to pursue my
interests in science policy and
education.
— Dorothy Beckett
I enjoy attending the Bio-
physical Society meeting as a
way to gain knowledge about
what other laboratories and
investigators are working on,
and also to discuss my current
work…to gain alternative per-
spectives on my projects. This
meeting provides a great op-
portunity to meet new people
in the field and also touch base
with existing colleagues and
acquaintances.
