How to Be
Single
is a fun dive into NYC lives that delivers plenty of laughs – mostly,
of course, from Rebel Wilson. Please just take one bit of advice from us

this as an instructional video!

HOW TO BE SINGLE
Life’s hard, and so is Dick. That’s
Dick Kelly (Robert De Niro), who’s
recently become a widower but
isn’t content with laying down
and dying. Just the laying down
bit, as he’s a randy old git! Having
caught up with his grandson Jason
(Zac Efron) after several years,
he’s also a concerned Grandpa.
The kid had dreams of becoming
a photographer, but has settled
for a law career and a pending
marriage that appears passionless.
Grandpa Kelly reckons a road trip
is in order to help both he and
Jason, well, decompress a little...
Respect to De Niro for proving he’s
up for anything – although staunch
acolytes may baulk at watching
him with, uh, his hand on it.

DIRTY GRANDPA
Release Date:

Format:
A new Sacha Baron Cohen movie
guarantees at least one thing –
people are going to be offended.
In the case of this cracker it starts
at the title, with the small British
town of Grimsby incensed at
the main character here, Nobby.
He’s a boozy, football-loving Liam
Gallagher-alike with 11 kids and
a well super-fit girlfriend (Rebel
Wilson). He also has a brother
– somewhere. Separated when
they were young, Nobby hasn’t
stopped searching for Sebastian
(Mark Strong). Upon getting a
lead, Nobby sets out to reunite
with his long lost bro, discovering
that he’s now a top MI6 agent
and that the world is in danger.
No probs, Nob’s on the job!

He took the fashion industry by storm back in 2001 with
his signature ‘Blue Steel’ look – and all without turning left.
The “he” to whom we refer is, of course, Derek Zoolander
(Ben Stiller), and, as the title above divulges, he’s back.
After a mishap at the full-scale Derek Zoolander Center for
Kids Who Can’t Read Good, which left Matilda dead and
Hansel horribly disfigured, Derek went bush to extreme
New Jersey. But he’s coaxed out of exile by Billy Zane
toattend a Rome fashion show – as is Hansel. They’re
inturn tracked down by Valentina Valencia (Penélope
Cruz) of Fashion Interpol, as a spate of pop singer deaths all have one
thing in common – Blue Steel. Sure this sequel has taken a really, really
ridiculously long time getting ready, but with a whole new fashion world to
skewer, the time was right (because, duh, it couldn’t turn left).

ZOOLANDER 2
If you’ve never heard of author
Nicholas Sparks then don’t bother
reading any further, for obviously
you’re not a fan of his brand of
romantic drama. Following such
hits as
The Notebook
,
Safe Haven
and
Dear John
, this eleventh
cinematic outing doesn’t stray
from established formula – and
worshippers of old Nick wouldn’t
have it any other way. It’s love
at first sight in the small coastal
town of Wilmington when Travis
(Benjamin Walker) meets his new
neighbour Gabby (Teresa Palmer).
But she has a beau, who’s
overseas. Should Gabby follow
her heart, and what major life
choices will the pair have to make
should they get together?

As faith-based movies go,
Risen
is certainly left of centre, if
not entirely innovative. Joseph
Fiennes plays a Roman soldier
charged with investigating the
mystery surrounding the empty
tomb of the recently crucified
Yeshua, aka Jesus Christ (played
by Kiwi Cliff Curtis). Has the
body been stolen and secretly
buried, or has there been a
divine resurrection? Director
and co-writer Kevin Reynolds
(
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
)
tells Christianity's greatest
story through the eyes of a non-
believer, but what begins as a
biblical take on a
CSI
episode
soon turns into a Sunday school
lesson we already know
.
