Ajex & Turner

Stand: 11C03

Replacing the traditional ways of wire

drawing and compacting, Ajex & Turner

has developed revolutionary VNT dies

for copper, aluminium, aluminium alloy,

stainless steel, MIG, and high/low carbon

wire.

With the boom in wire industry, there is

a call for new science to draw materials

with both good wear resistance and

good surface properties to ensure that

the quality of the drawn product is not

compromised.

Along with VNT dies, the company has

also developed lubricants for copper

and aluminium, which have a low

consumption rate, and can solve the

problem of copper blackening.

The TCD-10 will keep you ahead in the

area of die polishing and grinding as it

grinds and polishes angles and bearing

in one operation, which saves time and

energy and is also cost e ective.

The machine operates at high speed and

can recondition dies in a short time period.

It provides precise angles on re-cut dies.

AlloyWire

Stand: 11E26

Alloy Wire is heading to Düsseldorf with its

largest ever range of exotic nickel alloys, as

demand for intense corrosion properties

and high temperature resistance reaches

a new high. The UK manufacturer of

round, at, shaped pro le and electrical

resistance wires will be showcasing more

than 50 alloys, including the recently

added Nitronic 50

(0.025 to 5.5mm) and

super duplex (0.025 to 6.5mm).

These are suited for the marine, paper,

petrochemical and oil and gas sectors and

provide many bene ts, including strong

corrosion resistance and good mechanical

properties at sub-zero temperatures.

The major international trade show will

also give the company the opportunity

to launch its eagerly awaited 90-page

technical brochure and provide industry

delegates with an update on its £700,000

investment in new testing capabilities,

spooling

machines

and

specialist

annealing furnaces.

“wire is coming at exactly the right time

for our business and gives us a global

platform to launch these two new

products and catch up with clients from all

over the world,” said Angus Hogarth, sales

director at Alloy Wire International.

“We have listened to what the sector

wants and increased the starting diameter

of a selection of alloys, such as Inconel

625™, MP35N, Nimonic 80A™ and Haynes

282°.”

He continued: “This has seen us increase

sales to £8m and make signi cant inroads

into aerospace and oil and gas. Our

commitment to Fit For Nuclear (F4N)

should also pave our way for growth in

this new market.”

The company is also celebrating its

70

th

year in business in 2016. It has grown

steadily to supply 4,000 customers in

15 sectors.
