Teacher: Super Mario Sweater,
designed by a Japanese sewing
company for the Famicon
Disk System, allowed users to
design a jumper which would
then be made for 2900 Yen.

Hotel Mario, developed by
Fantasy Factory for the
Phillips CD-i and released in

Martinet got the gig when

role of an “Italian plumber

crew were packing up, but he
insisted he try out for the

Bob Hoskins, was the worst
FIlm to be based on a video
Game. Bob Hoskins later said
it was the worst production
he ever worked on.
Super Mario Bros 3 released
in Japan in 1988 but took a
further two years to get to
the U.S.
Super Mario 64, a launch
title for the Nintendo 64
console, has sold over 11

In 1993, Buck Adams and Ron
Jeremy starred in two adult
Films based on the Nintendo
property – called Super
Hornio Brothers and Super
Hornio Brothers II. Nintendo
bought the rights to the
FIlms to ensure they were
never released again.
In 2013, a 10-year-old boy in
Colorado steered his great-
grandmother’s car to safety
after she suffered a heart
attack. He attributed the
ability to handle the car to
playing hours of Mario Kart.
Nintendo have never revealed
Mario’s surname, only
confirming that it isn’t Mario
Mario as widely speculated.
By March 2015, Nintendo had
sold 12.50 million copies of
Super Mario Galaxy
The Mario series in total has
sold over 262 million units
combined.
Mario has featured in over
200 video games.
Mario Maker will be released
with a 100-page booklet
displaying a variety of
different ideas that can be
used in the creation of your
own game.
