PLAYING
While everyone's been running around
catching Pocket Monsters, some bigger,
more ferocious ones have appeared on
the 3DS - and trust us, these ones can't
be tamed.
The latest entry in the Monster Hunter
series, Generations has the largest play
area so far, and you'll need to explore it
all if you ever hope to become the ultimate hunter.
This time around, Capcom have tried - and succeeded - in making
a Monster Hunter title that's both faithful to its predecessors and
easy enough to grasp for those new to the series. The gameplay is
familiar yet sharpened, making Generations a kind of "best of" for
the franchise so far.
Create and customise your character, and choose from one of
the four newly-added Hunter Styles to take complete control of the
way you play.
Monster Hunter Generations is a welcome return to form
for the series. Gather resources, craft your armour,
and revel in this 3DS title that will remind you why
Capcom are an industry juggernaut. Perhaps next
time it can make the jump to console.
