ISCO opens new location in Chile
ISCO Industries, a USA-based pipe
supplier and custom manufacturer of
HDPE piping products, has opened a
new facility in Santiago, Chile. The 500m2
facility is situated on a two-hectare lot
that houses a full line of McElroy fusion
equipment and offers sales, training and
repair of fusion machines.
“We looked at Chile over the last
several years as a market with a lot of
potential because of the increasing
foreign investment, especially in the
mining sector,” said Ted Amaya, vice-
president of international sales. “Chile’s
economy continues to grow. An ISCO
Industries location in Chile positions us
well to service our customers in the Latin
American region.”
“Mining is the entry point, but Chile’s
economy is diversified,” added Mr
Amaya. “There are opportunities in
agriculture, power, geothermal and many
other areas where ISCO’s products and
services, and the quality that comes with
those products and services, have the
capacity to play an integral part in the
growth of these industries.”
Since 1962 ISCO Industries has
stocked and sold a wide variety of HDPE
pipe and piping materials, and offers
custom HDPE fabrication to provide
piping solutions for multiple applications.

Norma Group acquires Guyco
ENGINEERED joining technology firm
Norma Group signed an agreement
on 20 June 2013 to acquire 100 per
cent of the shares in the Australian
business Guyco Pty Ltd. The parties
agreed to maintain confidentiality on the
transaction details.
Guyco, headquartered in Adelaide,
Australia, commenced business in 1994
as a distributor to the agricultural market.
Today the company specialises in the
design, manufacture and distribution
of fittings and valves for freshwater
distribution, irrigation, agricultural,
plumbing and industrial market sectors.
Guyco supplies over 700 customers in
Australia and New Zealand through its
warehouses across Australia.
