Planning for EuroBLECH 2014

THE next EuroBLECH will take place

from 21 to 25 October 2014 at the

Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany.

As part of the marketing campaign

for EuroBLECH 2014 the exhibition

organisers, have presented a fresh

design for the show. The advertising

campaign features a new exhibition

logo, which is designed to be more

recognisable and features a precisely

cut sheet metal-style appearance.

As one of the leading trade

exhibitions for the sheet metal working

industry, EuroBLECH hopes to reflect

technological advancements in the

industry and thought it was time to also

adapt the logo to a new era of sheet

metal working technology.

“In order to guarantee the brand

recognition we kept EuroBLECH’s

distinctive

purple

colour,”

said

Nicola Hamann, exhibition director

at EuroBLECH, on behalf of the

organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

An exhibitor brochure including

important information about stand

reservation at EuroBLECH 2014 is now

available in five languages. The brochure

can be ordered via the newly designed

show website:

www.euroblech.com

or

directly from the organisers.

EuroBLECH

2014,

the

23

rd

International Sheet Metal Working

Technology Exhibition, will, once again,

cover halls 11,12,13,14,15,16,17 and

27 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds.

The exhibition profile comprises the

entire sheet metal working technology

chain: sheet metal, semi-finished

and finished products, handling,

separation, forming, flexible sheet

metal working, joining, welding and

surface treatment, processing of

hybrid structures, tools, quality control,

CAD/CAM systems and R&D.

In the exhibitor survey at the previous

show EuroBLECH 2012 was rated as

an extremely positive experience by

exhibiting companies. More than 70

per cent of all exhibitors indicated on-

site that they intended to exhibit again

at EuroBLECH 2014.

 EuroBLECH 2012 was a highly

successful exhibition with a strong focus

on innovative technology. A total of 1,505

exhibitors from 39 countries and 60,185

visitors from 98 countries attended the

show, which covered a net exhibition

space of 84,000m

2

. With 48 per cent

of the exhibitors and 34 per cent of the

visitors coming from outside Germany,

the percentage of foreign exhibitors

has grown again, while the percentage

of visitors from outside Germany has

slightly decreased.

Top exhibitor countries outside

Germany were Italy, Turkey, China,

the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain,

Austria, France and the USA. Most

important visitor countries alongside

Germany were Austria, the Netherlands,

Sweden, Switzerland, Great Britain,

Italy, Denmark, Belgium, India, the

Czech Republic and Poland.

Zumbach extends scanner range

Zumbach Electronic, Switzerland, has

extended its range of ODAC

®

laser

scanners for non-contact inline diameter

measurement for large size solutions.

With the ODAC 550 it is now possible

to measure large steel bars, tubes and

rolls up to 500mm or more at accuracies

of a few metric microns and rates of up

to 2,000 measurements.

Other materials, such as titanium,

brass, alloys and plastic, work as

well. This was made possible by the

development of a revolutionary optical

scanning technique with a highly

parallel and seamless measuring field

(no dead zone). The technology also

allows mounting emitter and receiver far

apart from each other, depending on the

available space conditions.

Typical processes where the system

offers new solutions are peeling,

grinding, polishing and straightening,

as well as in quality control lines (NDT).

The dimensional data for diameter,

ovality etc, can be fed directly to the

user’s network or displayed in real-time

for the operator by USYS processors,

and also for feedback to the machine.

Complete accessories like secondary

protection enclosures, cooling devices,

air purging and air knives are available

for heavy-duty environments.
