WITHIN 24 HOURS
Contact the injured teammate.
Communicate your desire to have the injured teammate return to work as
soon as possible.
Communicate your concern and verify that treatment was administered.
Answer questions the teammate may have.
Differences between non-workers’ compensation and workers’ compensation leave:
For workers’ compensation claims, contact
Sedgwick CMS
to provide information on the injury
and to provide a job description. Questions on treatment should be directed to
Sedgwick CMS
at (877) 209-8401.
For questions in regard to non-workers’ compensation leave, please contact
The Hartford
at (877) 822-3183.
Important Note
Every effort should be made to communicate your
concern to your injured teammate and answer his
or her questions. Teammates are less likely to seek
legal counsel when they understand their benefits
and when they feel your support and concern
throughout their recovery.
