OPEN-NECK CONSERVATIVE SURGERY
Fixation of both ARYs
Subglottic extension >10 mm anteriorly
and >5 mm postero-laterally or reaching
the upper border or invading the cricoid
cartilage
T4a with pre-laryngeal muscle infiltration
T1-2 supraglottic lesions extending to
the ventricle, the posterior third of the
false vocal cord, the glottis, or the AC
T3 transglottic carcinomas
T3 of the supraglottis with VF fixation
or
massive
invasion of the PES
Erosion of the thyroid cartilage not
going beyond the outer perichondrium
Selected glottic tumors originating at
the AC with PES or supraglottic
invasion
