Sylvin Technologies has amended its
material safety data sheets to comply
with the Globally Harmonized System of
classification and labeling of chemicals
– the United Nations’ new method of
classifying and labeling chemicals. “The
major benefit will be that every hazardous
chemical will be evaluated in the same
way, throughout the world, and the
information on the safety data sheets will
be in the same format,” said John Schlitzer,
Sylvin’s director of product development.
According to the occupational safety
and health administration (OSHA) full
compliance to the Globally Harmonized
System is required by 1
