SPIRITUAL TOUR OF LOURDES

Lourdes, Gavarnie, Pont D’ Espagne, Meridien Shopping Centre
VISITING
DAY 1 - MALTA - LOURDES
Meet your tour manager at Malta International
Airport for your flight to Lourdes on Air Malta.
Transfer to your 4* Mercure Lourdes Imperial Hotel.
Breakfast and join your tour manager for the tour
of Lourdes on foot. Visit the Grotto where Our Lady
made her Apparition to Bernardette. We visit the
Sanctuaries, and stop to take the Group Photo in
front of the Sanctuary. Afterwards, we proceed to
the Boly Mill, where Bernardette used to live with her
parents, and time to visit the Chateau Fort (entrance
Extra) where we can enjoy spectacular views of
Lourdes and the surrounding mountains. Today, the
village is visited by numerous pilgrims who came to
pray at the church and venerate a relic of the saint.
Lunch and Dinner at hotel.
DAY 2 - LOURDES – PONT D’ ESPAGNE
Breakfast and proceed to the Baths which is
definitely an experience not worth missing by any
pilgrim visiting Lourdes. In the afternoon we will
visit the picturesque Pont D’Espagne, which is in
the National Park of the Pyrenees which begins just
above Cauterets. Along the spectacular route, one
can see waterfalls and torrents shoot past every side
until the road levels out and ends at the bridge of
Pont d’ Espagne. Lunch and Dinner at hotel.
DAY 3 - LOURDES – GAVARNIE
After breakfast we will attend the Via Sagra (weather
permitting ) In the afternoon drive to Gavarnie,
a quiet and peaceful place in the mountains. See
Grande Cascade de Gavarnie which is a tiered
waterfall and ranks as the tallest waterfall in France
with its overall drop of 422 metres. Walk to the falls
which are situated in Cirque de Gavarnie, half an hour
walk from the village. Lunch and Dinner at hotel.
DAY 4 - LOURDES - MERIDIEN SHOPPING CENTRE
After breakfast walk to the Basilica of St. Pius X
for the International Mass. This function is a truly
unforgettable one with around 27,000 pilgrims
taking part in this ceremony. Lunch and transfer to
Meridien Shopping Centre. Dinner at hotel followed
by last visit to the Grotto and later transfer to the
Airport.
DAY 5 – LOURDES – MALTA
Flight Lourdes – Malta.
