Seamless titanium tubular products
VSMPO Titan Ukraine Ltd is a fabricator
of seamless tubular products from
titanium and its alloys.
It is part of JSC Corporation VSMPO-
AVISMA (Russia), producer of semi-
products and finished titanium products,
and supplier of tube hollows, bars,
sheets, plates and billets.
Except for industrial application, VSMPO
Titan is able to produce material in line
with aerospace specifications, such as
AMS4942, AMS 4943, AMS 4944 and
AMS 4945, from alloy Ti3Al2.5V and
CP40/Grade 2, in OD from 6 to 38.1mm,
wall thickness from 0.41 to 2.21mm,
and lengths from 1,500 to 6,000mm.
Due to modern equipment that is
continuously being updated, such as
KPW25LC pilger mill, 10WR3-30 Prestar
straightening machine, Loeser grinding
machine and Instron tensile machine,
the company is able to ensure the
quality of produced tubes, following
strict tolerances, standards and
customer requirements.
Certificates include SAE AS9100 for Civil
Aerospace, Russian Marine Register
and Russian Aircraft Register, and
ISO17025 of the laboratory. Complete
accreditation by PRI (Performance
Review Institute) on the basis of the
Nadcap programme and manufacturer’s
qualification according to requirements
of AS 5620 is scheduled by the middle
of 2013.
Chemical treatment, materials testing
laboratory, NDT and heat treatment are
already accredited as special processes
by Nadcap.
