HAVERGAL COLLEGE

By Joanne Gooding, HCC Chair 2012–2013

The Havergal Community Committee (HCC) is your parent

association. We are a committee of 30 parent volunteers

who act as liaisons between the parent body and the

faculty, staff and students at Havergal.

We also organize and manage a number of school activities

and events, including the Used Uniform Sale, the Father

Daughter Dance and the Staff Appreciation Luncheon. For

these to be successful, we need your support.

Join the more than 250 parents who volunteer with the

HCC each year. You can volunteer for a single event or

throughout the year—we have positions that work with

every schedule.

Become an integral part of your daughter’s life—be an HCC

volunteer—and share your time and talents with the school.

It’s both fun and rewarding. Volunteering is also a great way

to connect with other parents, gain a better understanding

of the school and make lifelong friendships. To volunteer

online, visit

“Havergal Stories” –

New Video Series

In September 2012, Havergal launched a new video series

as part of its advertising campaign for this year—“Havergal

Stories.” From the perspective of students, faculty, a parent

and an Old Girl, the 11 new videos authentically capture both

the every day and the magical moments at Havergal. Viewers

will find out what makes Havergal so special and why we love

our school.
