Who is Eligible?
You are eligible to join Allegany College of Maryland’s
plan if you are a regular, full-time Employee, who is
scheduled at least 30 hours Per Pay Period.
You may also enroll your dependents in Allegany College
of Maryland’s Plan when you enroll. Eligible dependents
include:
Your spouse, to whom you are legally married (who
is neither divorced nor legally separated; common-
law and domestic partners are excluded);
You or your Spouse's child who is under age 26,
including a natural child, stepchild, a legally
adopted child, a child placed for adoption or a child
for whom you or your Spouse are the legal
guardian; or
An unmarried child age 26 or over who is or
becomes disabled and dependent upon you; or
A full-time student up to age 26.
To be eligible for coverage under the Plan, a
dependent must reside within the United States.
When Benefits Begin
Your benefits begin on the first day of the month following
your initial date of hire if you are full-time employee.

Once you have made your decisions complete your
enrollment forms and return to the Human Resource
Department.
