The diesel injection course will describe the

operation of the different rotary pumps (mechanical

VE, electronic VE and VP), as well as the

components that can be repaired by a mechanic in

the workshop and those that must be repaired by a

specialised centre.

Practical training includes the removal of VE & VP

BOSCH injection pumps in order to be able a see

their differences in operation and evolution.

Once these concepts are understood, the static

and dynamic set up of an electronic VE pump

will be undertaken in a vehicle, with focus on

rectification of regularly occurring faults.

Practicals

On completing this course, technicians will be

capable of distinguishing the different types of

injection pumps currently on the market and which

components they can repair in their workshop, if it

is necessary to remove it or not from the engine for

the repair of the faulty component, and how to set

it up.

They will also obtain the necessary knowledge for

assessing the parameters and fault codes provided

by a diagnostic unit and the oscillograms of the

main injection system components.
