• Remove peeling paint by scraping or with RemovALL
All Purpose Paint Remover (RRA 220)
• Rust can be treated by using Polycell End Rust
(502102) or Plascon Metalcare Rust Converter &
Primer (EMS 21) to create an impervious film on the
metal
Rust remover / converter should NOT be used on
galvanised iron.
• Wash the steel with Plascon Metalcare Water Based
Degreaser (GR 2) and rinse well with clean water
• Allow to dry
• Prime the steel with Plascon Metalcare WB Primer
(MWP 1) or Plascon Metalcare Mild Steel Primer (UC
501) for an extremely high performance barrier against
rust
• Allow to dry and finish with a chosen Plascon top coat

HOW TO FIX
• Remove peeling paint by scraping, mechanical wire
brushing or with Plascon RemovALL All Purpose Paint
Remover (RRA 220)
• Scrub surface with Plascon Aquasolv Degreaser (GR 1)
• Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to dry
• Within 4 hours of cleaning, prime the surface with
Plascon Metalcare Mild Steel Primer (UC 501) or
Plascon Metalcare Metal WB Primer (MWP 1)
• Allow to dry and finish with a chosen Plascon top coat
• Remove peeling paint by scraping, mechanical wire
brushing or with Plascon RemovALL All Purpose Paint
Remover (RRA 220)
• Clean by brushing Plascon Galvanised Iron Cleaner
(GIC 1) onto any bare metal surface
• Leave for 2 minutes, rinse with water and allow to dry
• Test for a water break free surface*
• Prime galvanised iron with Plascon Metalcare
Galvanised Iron Primer (GIP 1)
• Finish with a chosen Plascon top coat
