Falesco

Two of Italy’s most acclaimed winemakers, brothers Riccardo and Renzo Cotarella, founded Falesco in

1979. Their philosophy is focused on balancing the uniqueness and tradition of native varietals with the

versatility of international grapes. The result is a complete portfolio of wines that consumers and critics

alike have recognized as exhibiting extreme value and Best of Class offerings.

Ferentano Lazio IGT

This wine is made from 100% Roscetto, an ancient variety indigenous to the Montefiascone region of

Lazio which Riccardo Cotarella has single-handedly saved from extinction. This grape’s small, compact

bunches are naturally high in flavor, which Cotarella discovered was best extracted by the use of dry ice

during maceration, allowing for maximum flavor without adding color. The resulting wine is unforgettably

substantial and elegant.

Montiano “Trentanni” Lazio IGP

The 2009 vintage is the first year in which the Trentanni was produced celebrating the 30th anniversary

of Falesco’s founding. The wine is made from an even more specific selection of grapes from the winery’s

flagship Montiano vineyard.

Montiano Merlot Lazio IGP

A 100% single-vineyard Merlot grown in the Montiano parcel in Montefiascone, Lazio. The volcanic, mineral-

rich soil of the Montiano vineyard and a rigorous hand selection of these grapes contribute to Montiano’s

solid structure and concentration. One of the most sought-after wines from central Italy, this is a perennial

favorite of red wine collectors worldwide!
