Doubtless it is unnecessary to emphasize the fact that a
cocktail must be as cold as possible, and the cocktail shaker
should be filled with thin ice clear to the top, and the contents
shaken until the shaker almost burns the hands.
The recipes contained in this little volume have been ob
tained over a long period of years by the Compiler from various
persons and there are certain of the mixtures which he prefers
