IMPORTANT:

Axle connection bushings must be installed correctly to accommodate the axle pinion angle.

The Neway Air-Beam bushing replacement tool (part number 505 44 012 - Key 28) must be used for the procedure.

IMPORTANT:

When ordering axle connection bushings, and/or shims, specify the correct beam type so that it will fit

and maintain the correct pinion angle. It is critical that you use the following step-by-step procedure when ordering and

installing a beam assembly. Failure to do so can result in axle, drive line, frame and suspension damage.

1) Determine the correct beam type (1 or 2) using the graphics above. If the rear bushing in your beam is straight you

have a type 1 beam, and if the bushing is offset you have a type 2 beam. The type is also located on the serial number

plate attached to the right hand (curb side) beam. If the plate cannot be read, contact your vehicle manufacturer for the

correct pinion angle of your axle.

2)Before disassembling the beam, document the number and location of the axle shims (Key 8) for proper alignment.
