Cutting Tools

Saw blade quality:

HCS:

High carbon steel for use in softer materials such as wood,

wood fibre boards and plastics.

Bimetal:

Highly flexible, almost non-breakable combination of HSC

and HSS, long service life. Can be used for hard woods, abrasive

wooden materials, hard plastic, non-ferrous metals and metals.

Tooth design:

Teeth milled, side clearance side set:

Blade with relatively coarse

cut and fast work progress in hard and soft wood, aluminium, plastics

and non-ferrous metals.

Teeth milled, clearance wavy set:

Blade with fine result for straight

cuts in plywood, soft steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

Teeth ground, side clearance side set:

Blade for clean, fast cuts in wood.

Teeth ground, side clearance lead angle ground:

Blade with

taper ground back for side clearance; for precise, fine and clean

cuts in wood and plastic.

Saw blade quality

Soft wood:

High carbon steel for use in softer materials such as wood, wood

fibre boards and plastics.

HSS:

Fully hardened high-speed steel for use in harder materials

such as metal, aluminium and non-ferrous metals.

Bimetal:

Highly flexible, almost non-breakable combination of HCS and HSS,

long service life. Can be used for hard woods, abrasive wooden mate-

rials, hard plastic, non-ferrous metals and metals.

Carbide-tipped:

The HSC blade is equipped with carbide teeth and is thus suitable

for abrasive materials such as glass-fibre-reinforced plastics,

asbestos cement, hard woods and aerated concrete.

Tooth design:

Teeth milled, side clearance side set:

Blade with relatively coarse cut and fast work progress in hard

and soft wood, aluminium, plastics and non-ferrous metals.

Teeth milled, side clearance wavy set:

Blade with fine result for straight cuts in plywood, soft steel,

aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

Teeth ground, side clearance side set:

Blade for clean, fast cuts in wood.

Teeth ground, side clearance lead angle ground:

Blade with taper ground back for side clearance; for precise,

fine and clean cuts in wood and plastic.

Tooth pitch:

Small tooth pitch for fine cuts with slower work progress, in hard

and/or thin material such as metals and non-ferrous metals.

Large tooth pitch for coarser cuts coupled with fast work progress

in soft and/or thick material such as wood and plastic.

Application:

Saw blades are subject to high mechanical and thermal loads. For

this reason, the use of specific coolants, e.g. cutting oil (for steel,

metals) or water (for aluminium, INOX, thin sheets), is recommended

in order to extend the wear-resistance of the saw blade.
