he

first annual Dinner o f the Society was held on

26th November, at the Royal Hibernian Hotel,

Dublin. Invitations were confined to members of

the Society of whom 128 attended. After the toast

o f Ireland had been honoured, Mr. Terence

de Vere White proposed the toast The Society

and the President replied. Mr. John R. Halpin

proposed the health o f the Secretary, who replied.

A pleasant programme o f musical items was given

by Mr. Roderick Tierney and Mr. Dermott Dun-

leavy, and Mr. W. O. Armstong.

Hospital Monaghan on the 7th November, 1953.

Dr. Keirans served his apprenticeship with the

late Mr. Charles Laverty, Castleblayney, Co.

Monaghan, was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1926

and practised at Monaghan. He was one o f the

special Examiners for tne Intermediate and Final

Examinations from February, 1928.
