Removal and other associated activity includes expenditure on ‘making safe’; topsides preparation; removal of
topsides, substructures and subsea infrastructure; pipeline decommissioning; disposal; recycling; site remediation
and monitoring. Expenditure from 2015 to 2024 associated with this activity is forecast to be lower in the short
term, increasing towards the end of the survey timeframe. The annual average forecast expenditure is £550million.
