Miltec UV’s Kimberly Rosenberry has
been selected as an honoree by The
Manufacturing Institute for the women in
science, technology, engineering, and
production (STEP) awards. The STEP award
identifies and highlights women who
have demonstrated science, technology,
engineering, and production excellence
in manufacturing. Kimberly joins a network
of women who are making significant
contributions to the US manufacturing
industry.
Kayla Abell has completed the requirements
to be named an ASQ-certified quality
improvement associate (ASQ CQIA).
In order to become an associate, Kayla
was required to reach a significant level
of professional recognition and indicate a
proficiency in and a comprehension of
basic quality principles and practices.
Finally, Miltec’s president, Robert Blandford,
has been selected as a Maryland’s
International Leadership Award winner
by the World Trade Center Institute.
The International Business Leadership
Award defines and celebrates vision,
international success, and excellence in
leadership.

Early call to conference
The FTTH Conference and Expo is said to
be the largest event of the year for the
North American FTTH industry, and in 2013
will be held from 30

September to 3
rd
October,at theTampaConventionCenter
in Florida. Hotel accommodation will be
available at the nearby Tampa Marriott
Waterside Hotel and Marina.
The event will include a three-day
program of FTTH learning sessions,
including
presentations,
workshops,
keynote addresses, and industry panel
discussions
covering
technology,
deployment,
business
operations,
and marketing of all-fiber broadband
networks. The conference offers the most
comprehensive exhibition in the industry
where future customers from across North
America and beyond come to find the
latest FTTH products and solutions.
