set for Florida
The
Tube

Pipe
Association,
(International), and the
Tube & Pipe
Journal
(TPJ), have announced the dates
for the next TPJ Symposium. The event
will be held from March 12-14 2008, at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Lake
Buena Vista, Florida, USA.
This
multi-speaker
conference
will
explore best practices and technology
advancements in the areas of tube and pipe
production and fabrication.
Technical presentations will address
tube bending, welding, quick change
tube cutting systems, and quench and
temper processes. Operational topics will
include justifying equipment purchases,
organization and execution of capital
projects, and better management.
The TPJ Symposium will be co-located
with Metal Matters 2008, the Metal
Fabricator’s management summit. This is
the annual conference of the Fabricators &
Manufacturers Association, Intl (FMA), the
TPA’s technology affiliate.
TPJ Symposium attendees will take part
in a session by FMA’s economist Mr Chris
Kuehl of Armada Corporate Intelligence,
a panel on workforce development, and
networking opportunities offered in the
Metal Matters program.
There will also be keynote addresses by
John Ratzenberger, host of the Travel
Channel’s ‘Made in America’ (and known
for his role as Mr Cliff Clavin on sitcom
‘Cheers’), and Ms Susan Annunzio from the
Center for High Performance.
Mr Danny Forster of The Discovery
Channel’s ‘Build it Bigger’ (formerly
‘Extreme Engineering’) will also address
the conference, together with Mr Tom
Waddle, former wide receiver for the
