through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”

. It

is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his

master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much

more the members of his household! ‘So do not be afraid of them. There is

nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be

made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is

whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those

who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who

can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a

penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of

your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So

don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.’ ”

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him

the word of God becomes a living word.

Questioning their understanding, this was asked, “Don’t you believe that I

to you are not just my own.

. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the

Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles

themselves. I tell you the truth; anyone who has faith in me will do what I

have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am

going to the Father. And

You may ask me

for anything in my name [which name], and I will do it.’ ” The son of man

will bring glory to the Father, because the son knows the Father and does

everything the Father tells him to do.

“If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father,
