PRACTISING CERTIFICATES 1961-62

1. Members are reminded that practising certi

ficates for the year to end jth January, 1962 should

be taken out on or after 6th January, 1961 and not

later than 5th February, 1961 in order to take effect

as a qualification to practise from January 6th.

2. Under the provisions of the Solicitors Acts

1954-60, the declaration to be lodged with the

Society on applying for a practising certificate shall

be completed and signed by the applicant personally

unless the Registrar, on the ground of illness or

some other sufficient cause, dispenses with personal

signature of the declaration.

Dublin agents of

country solicitors should therefore take up the

declarations in good time and forward them to

their correspondents for signature.

3 . The amount of the registration fee and Compen

sation Fund contribution is as follows:

(a)

If the certificate is issued within three jears

from date of admission, £11 for a Dublin

solicitor and £8 for a country solicitor.

(b)

In any other case, £26 for a Dublin solicitor,

£23 for a country solicitor.
