APPROVAL OF LOWER DIVISION COURSES FOR IHL

If any public university desires to teach lower division course(s) at an off-site location, it shall submit its requests to the MCCB

forty-five (45) days prior to the proposed starting date of class. As a part of the MCCB staff review of such requests, the college

president in whose district the proposed course would be taught shall be asked to provide a written comment on the advisability

of approval. Course(s) can be approved for a semester or a longer period of time.

This policy was abolished due to Supreme Court ruling (Olon E. Ray vs. Institutions of Higher Learning). – June 28, 2002.
