th
Dongguan International Exhibition on Electro-plating, Surface Finishing and
Coatings (DSF 2009) will take place at the Dongguan International Conference &
Exhibition Centre (Guangdong, China), 14-16 May 2009.
The event is presented by the Hong Kong Electro-Plating Merchants Association,
in response to the surging demand for surface finishing service and equipment
in China.
Over 20 local and international associations have consented to support the
event. Taiwan Plating Association and The Chemical Daily, Japan, are providing
support and organising the exhibition pavilion.
Trade associations in the USA, Korea, Japan and Singapore are also finalising
cooperation details with the organiser, ensuring that the event will provide a
platform to establish connections with both local and international buyers.
Finishing technologies (including plant, equipment and materials) to be
exhibited will include electroplating, anodising, pre-treatment, electrophoretic
coatings, metallising, plating/painting on plastics, vacuum plating, and stripping
solutions and equipment.
Featured coating products will include non-stick coatings, industrial paints,
automotive paints and powder coatings.
The show will also feature paint and powder coating applications, curing ovens,
automation control systems, water supply and purification systems (water supply
and drainage systems, sewage treatment, water quality monitors, hydraulic
pressure, pneumatic, pumps and valves), and environmental protection, safety
and protection equipment.

Dr Christoph Steger as head of the
company’s marketing and product
management departments.
The new manager has taken over part
of the duties previously administered
by Hans Berlisg, who retired at the end
of 2008.
Dr Steger has also taken charge of
the quality management department,
which was previously the respon-
sibility of managing director Walter
Häder.
Dr Steger studied at the ViennaUniversity
of Economics and Business, from which
he also received his doctor’s degree
with entrepreneurship and innovation,
and business administration as his
major subjects.
He has gained experience from working
at two business consultancy firms, and
as assistant to the management board
at Cincinnati.
Hans Berlisg joined the Viennese
company in 1968 and has held a variety
of leading positions.
He is also the founder of Extruserve,
a brand of Cincinnati Extrusion, which
specialises in screw and barrel design
and reconditioning of used machines.
In addition to his responsibilities as
head of the marketing and product
management
departments,
Mr
Berlisg was in charge of the services
department, for which Peter Hammer is
now responsible.
