Interwire organiser Wire Association International
has every right to be happy with the outcome
from this year’s exposition in Atlanta, USA.
A number of exhibitors were delighted with the
response and quality of the leads they took home
from the three-day show, and some of these
can be found on pages 17 and 18 of this issue of
EuroWire
.
It is also time to look forward to another exhibition
this year – wire Southeast Asia – which is being
staged in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16

to 18
th
September. The latest details about the show can
be found on page 14.
Also worthy of mention is the TKT Group’s plans
to celebrate its 70
th
anniversary – which includes
expanding its production facilities with a new
25,000m
2
plant, due for completion by the end of
2015. Catch the story on page 22.
A new European cable manufacturer has also
opened for business in Poland. MFK will be
using some of Reelex Packaging Solution’s most
advanced lines in the production plant just outside
of Krakow. See page 25 for details.
On the technology front, Germany’s Hradil
Spezialkabel has produced a 5,000V power supply
cable for maritime applications as low as -200ºC,
that uses nickel rather than copper strands. The

UK manufacturer BWE has been making advances
with its Conklad range. It has launched the
Conklad 315 – the smallest in its range but which
still includes many of the standard features of the
larger machines. Turn to page 43.
