PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involves the design and installation of an aeration (e.g. air bubbler)
system for Lake Townsend. One type of system consists of shore mounted
blowers connected to air piping which is suspended above the lake bottom. Lake
aeration will help mitigate the water quality problems associated with algae
growth and the natural bi-annual turnover of the lake strata. Aeration will help
eliminate sudden bi-annual water quality treatment challenges and minimize the
possibility of raw water quality related non-compliance with regulatory
requirements.
