PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project will restore the earthen dams for two high hazard water supply
reservoirs. Project scope will include removal of growth and debris, installation of
rip rap and geotextile material for long term erosion protection. Woody growth
damages the structural integrity of dams, and periodic maintenance is expensive.
North Carolina dam management regulations require maintenance of high hazard
dams. Mowing expenses will be reduced as the result of this project.
