PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This funding is for the replacement of major mechanical components, such as
chillers, boilers, elevators, fire alarm systems and HVAC controls at various City
facilities. The equipment is currently operating past its expected life cycle and
unexpected failures of any of these components could essentially close or limit
the use of a facility or potentially create life safety issues. This equipment is not
budgeted for during the normal annual budget process due to its high
replacement cost. This funding is also for the replacement of 5 large carpets for
a total of 155,080 square feet.
