Mini-Circuits’ USB/Ethernet

Programmable Attenuator, 0 to 60

dB, 1 to 8000 MHz

Mini-Circuits’ new RCDAT-8000-60

pocket-sized

USB/Ethernet

controlled programmable attenuator

expands the frequency coverage of

our RCDAT-series with a frequency

range from 1 to 8000MHz. This

model gives you precise attenuation

control from 0 to 60dB in 0.25dB

steps with excellent attenuation

accuracy within ±0.75dB. It provides

+33dBm RF power handling, high

linearity with IP3 of +49 dBm up to

8GHz, and high-speed attenuation

switching of just 800ns. RCDAT

programmable attenuators are ideal

for a wide range of test applications

including

fading

simulators,

handover

system

evaluation,

automated test equipment and

more. This latest addition to the

product family gives users more

capability for applications with higher

frequency requirements.

USB and Ethernet control options

(supporting HTTP and Telnet

protocols) allow setup flexibility

and easy remote test management.

The unit comes supplied with Mini-

Circuits user-friendly GUI software

for Windows

®

systems, which allows

you to sweep and hop attenuation

levels and even save and recall

your own test profiles with specific

attenuation patterns for R&D and

production testing, saving time and

reducing operator errors. DLLs for

32- and 64-bit Windows systems and

complete programming instructions

Windows and Linux

®

allow the same

capabilities through your native test

software.

TheRCDAT-8000-60 is small enough

to fit in your pocket )2.5x3.0x0.85”)

and features rugged, nickel-plated

aluminum construction with excellent

RF shielding, SMA(F) connectors at

the RF input/output ports, a standard

RJ45 port for Ethernet connection,

and a USB type mini-B power and

control port. The attenuator operates

on a 5V power supply and draws

its power requirements through the

USB port. It comes with a 5V AC/

DC power adapter, USB cable and

Ethernet cable included, ready for

immediate use right out of the box -

just plug and play!
