Goodbyes!!

“Hello…”

Where did you grow up? Shaun: I grew up right here in Windham where I went through the Windham school system and graduated in 1995. Shannon: I grew up in Walpole, New Hampshire and moved to Maine in 2000 to attend UNE and decided to stay here! What is your first memory of Little Sebago Lake? Shaun: I grew up fishing here at LSL with my dad on the weekends in his 14’ aluminum Johnboat. This was always my favorite lake to come to and I knew at a young age that I’d want to live here someday. Shannon: My first memories of the lake were made when I’d come with Shaun to relax while he’d fish. How long have you been together? We have been together for almost 11 years and married for just over 6 years. How long have you lived on the lake? We bought our piece of land here near the public boat ramp back in October of 2015, had a house built and moved into our new home on January 7 th 2017. Apart from the coolest job in the world (selling ice cream on a boat) what else do you do? Shaun: I am the UPS Driver for most of the town of Raymond which includes the section of Little Sebago Lake in Gray that is accessed off from Route 85. Shannon: I worked as a dental hygienist for a number of years before I decided to start my own skincare and lash studio here in Windham! How did you get interested in becoming ice cream boatrepreneurs? Shaun: I was present at the annual LSL association meeting last July when Joe stood up and announced that he was going to be retiring at the end of the season. I later told Shannon the news which she had already seen on the Facebook page. While we were very sad to see Joe stepping down, we were both immediately and equally excited about the opportunity to possibly become the next captains of the Good Ship!! Shannon: What he said!
